A score of 20/20 in this theory exam is required as a component of the SKIA Chief Referees Accreditation (A level). Additional accreditation requirements are:

• Must be an SKIF Sandan and 25 years of age (or above).
• May be assessed over a number of events to permit the Referees Council to make a full and comprehensive assessment (practical component).

Accreditation may be awarded for Kata, Kumite or both. Accreditation maintenance requirements are:

• Must Referee at an SKIA National/State tournament at least once every year.
• Must Referee at the SKIA National Championships or Camp at least once every two years.

Failure to comply with the maintenance requirements will result in demotion and eventual de-registration.
